Canon EOS 450D - Is It Worth the Upgrade?
Due the requirement for live view Manual focusing on a Telescope I ended up purchasing both cameras. From the testing that I have done (Ignoring the **tiny** difference in megapixels - With my lenses, it needs to be primes carefully used to really show off this difference), both cameras deliver more or less the same image quality with a given lens.
Apart from some focusing issues that I had with the kit lens, I have found that the 450D IS lens delivers sharper images when the focus is nailed. Also note that the issues I had with erratic focus ‘went away’! (Still convinced that something was tight inside the lens when new!)
