The Photographer - by Robert Och

Thursday, August 4th, 2005

I wanted to try something a little different than the camera around the neck thing …So here I am cleaning a lens as seen through a lens and capturing via a third lens and camera…Also the the object that the one lens is sitting on is leather beanbag camera support ….if you don’t have one , let me tell you they are great for use as a tripod for macro shots ..hope this works.

This was a hard shot to set up and compose running from behind to the front of the lens to get the focus right and work with the comp…I probably should have taken shots of the running, I have a small studio so it would have been funny….please enjoy (note; some ps used )If you would like to see even greater detail , please click for the largest view ( it may scare you you have been warned) ;-)

Photographing Leopard Gecko - by joe ecko

Thursday, August 4th, 2005

I just wanted to say a few things about photographing my geckos. I do alot of gecko shots and there are plenty of things you can do to get that winning photo your looking for when photographing them.

First off most geckos like the leopard gecko are very tame and wonderful to have as pets, they live about 10-15 years and reach about 8-9 inches in length. I have read about some living longer and even getting a bit bigger. They can be kept in a 10-20 gallon tank with a substrate like lizard liter, paper towels,or even reptile carpet. When it comes to substrate there is always a big debate on what to use and what not to use. I won’t go into all the details on that. There should also be plenty of places for your gecko to hide, like caves, leaves, and so on.And most of all fresh water and good food. Most geckos will eat mealworms, waxworms, and crickets. Now that you no a bit about them, I will share with you my secrets of getting such good photos of Fred the leopard gecko. He trusts me for one and that is a must….. Full Article.
